Probably not the best image that I have posted...but it is something of a pivotal moment for me. It think it was on this trip to Crete that I started to look at the detail rather than the wider picture. I think that prior to this image my photos of Crete had been largely of the tourist type. I just seemed to wake up one day and see something else, the beauty was no longer in the vision pushed by the tour companies but on a more intimate level...once you have seen that then there is no looking back.
