I'm pretty sure this was the first shot of my trip and as far as I can remember it was taken very close to Warren, IL. I mean for how close it is to the border with Wisconsin, it ought to have the right to claim either state as its home!
Now, much like the water towers I spoke of in a previous post, I know these things are two-a-penny to you Americans out there, but, to me, not so and pretty much like the water towers, I never tired of them during the trip. I have to say though, these were the prettiest - if pretty is the right word to use? These just seemed so spanking new all shiny in the winter sun. The combination of the snow, steel and sky just seemed to scream for a photo. So here it is. I'm pretty sure I didn't take any more of these, I just pulled over for a while and stared - that often involved pulling over quite a lot. I have no idea exactly where this was, but, if you want to have a scout around then here is an aerial view of the Warren, IL. and the surrounding area.
