Well aren't I the lazy ass! Two days without posting, I guess that's what happens when you always post late and then find yourself to tired to post. Having said that a two day break sure felt good....sort of feel refreshed and ready for more. Just as a recap, the weekend was shit weather wise......stayed in for the most part and on the one occasion that I ventured out got soaked...photos taken equals zero! Weather good now and I need to take some images.....been a bit slack of late other than a few Holga images going to or from work. I do have all the films back from Crete now so at least that will sustain me for a while whilst I get my act together.
Today's image, from Crete is a power station that we stumbled across. Beautiful coastal....mountain drive...I round a bend and am confronted by this! I know it's a scar on the landscape but hell it was an amazing sight...good? Bad? I have to say I like it...hell they need power so I guess there is always going to have to be one somewhere. Have been trying to find you a map....sorry can't find one....perhaps they don't want it covered on google maps...the area is suspiciously devoid of detail!
I was all geared up and ready to go
bounding for to leave my mountain home with a sky of blue
between the leaves and the color of the water was green
high over the sea.
“Do you have to leave so soon my boy?
The winter time aint even begun….”
“Well I’d stay awhile,” I turned to say.
“But the color of the water is grey and I’m going away…”
