The first thing that I have to say is a very big thank you to all the birthday wishes I have received over the pat few days....I really have been moved, thank you. It may sound like a silly thing to say but they were as much part of the day as anything I did here to amuse myself. This blog is now almost one year old, I have no idea when it was started but it was in February, the friendships I have made here have been wonderful and if I never posted another photo I would be happy. But you don't get off that lightly...there are more to come! Booked a trip to Crete tonight which is wonderful, my beloved Crete where all my worries evaporate and given that my job ends the first week in February it seemed like the perfect place to piss off to in order to re-charge my batteries. For the first time I will be only taking Medium Format, that will be good for me working outside my comfort zone, perhaps I can return with something I am happy with. Anyway, a few weeks to go before that, time to sort out the advance posts..
So, to summarise, birthday was wonderful, today was wonderful...sun shone, I got to shoot some film and have a lovely walk into the bargain and for those to whom this means anything Arsenal beat Manchester United after going one down....oh yes! That was so sweet.
OK today's photo is another from my series taken at the Victorian cemetery that adjoins Beckford's Tower. Completed in 1827 from a design by Henry Edmund Goodridge for William Beckford (1760-1844). For all the information on the tower just follow the link back there. If you are interested in it's location then here is a link to a map.
