Another from the AAA restaurant. All deserted down on US 287 in Palestine, TX. It was the sign that got my attention. It was only on closer inspection that I realised the restaurant was empty, although, it seemed not for that long. I have since found out from a resident of Palestine that it has been closed at least 4 years and perhaps 5. A poke around the back revealed it was insecure and so I made a hurried entrance as it was on the main highway and I wondered if my empty car might draw attention. I have to say my heart skipped a few times as whilst inside as a cop car drove by two or three times! It was a great place, although I don't think I have ever shot a place quite so quickly! Here is a street view of the place.
This truckers atlas roads the ways
the freeways and highways don't know
The buzz from the bird on my dash
Road locomotive phone
I don't feel and it feels great
I sold my atlas by the freight stairs
I do lines and I crossed roads
I crossed the lines of all the great state roads
